LADY DRAGONS BLANK PIRATES AT HOME

SELLERSBURG — In a game that was called early due to weather, Silver Creek took down Charlestown, 5-0. The Dragons scored all five goals in the opening half. The game was called just 10 minutes in to the second half due to dwindling field conditions. Silver Creek was led by Avery Kukola, who scored two goals. Anna Wright, Alyssa Wright and Ellie Quinkert also had goals in the squads home finale in which they honored 10 Seniors.

DRAGONS ATTACK AUSTIN FROM ALL ANGLES IN WIN

SELLERSBURG — The Dragons boys soccer team put up 15 goals to Austin’s 1 in their last regular season tune-up before Sectional play begins on Monday. The Dragons scores a plethora of goals, including a hat-trick by Senior Ethan Eckert that moved him into sole possession of the single season scoring title. The team also honored it’s 9 Seniors at halftime of the game.

LADY DRAGONS SWEEP STARS IN LAST HOME GAME

SELLERSBURG – The Silver Creek volleyball team is riding a very successful week into what will be some stiff competition on Saturday at the Columbus East Invite. The girls swept Bedford North Lawrence 25-12, 25-6, 25-7 in their last home match of the season. The win capped a big week for the Lady Dragons who won a 5-set thriller over New Albany on Tuesday and defeated Clarksville in straight sets on Wednesday. Coach Jeff Zimmerman reached a milestone 300 wins with the win at Clarksville, and was recognized for this achievement before the B.N.L game. The team also honored their six Senior players and 1 Senior manager prior to the first serve of the game.
