NEW WASHINGTON — Freshman Jaclyn Emly scored 22 points to help Silver Creek open its 2017-18 season with a 53-43 win at New Washington.

Emly also had seven rebounds and hit four 3-pointers in the win. Her sister, Katie Emly, had 14 points and knocked down three 3s. Alyssa Wright finished with seven points, seven rebounds and five assists in the victory.

The Creek’s Junior Varsity squad was also victorious on the night 31-8, led by Freshmen Abby Grimm’s 12 points

The Lady Dragons will be back in action when they host Jennings County in their home opener Saturday at 1.
