Multiple Teams · Volleyball: Lady Dragons Impress in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Silver Creek left the Kentuckiana Showcase with three wins Saturday.

The Dragons (5-1) took down Dunbar, host Tates Creek and St. Henry in the successful day of action.

“Silver Creek had a great day today,” coach Jeff Zimmerman said. “We played some tough competition today and battled to go 3-0. The great thing about this team is that everyone contributes — if someone is struggling then someone else picks them up.”

The Dragons dropped the first set of the day to Tates Creek before rebounding for a 3-set win. Silver Creek swept Dunbar in the second match of the day, then took down St. Henry in three sets.

“We came out in the first match as cold as we have ever been,” Zimmerman said. “The girls fought through it. They grew up a lot today.”
